“The King Arthur Trilogy” by Rosemary Sutcliff will be the BEST King Arthur Book you will ever read. I myself have read a few King Arthur books including: “Sword at Sunset” also by Rosemary Sutcliff; “Le Morte d’ Arthur” by Sir Thomas Mallory; and even “The History of the Kings of Britain” by Geoffrey of Monmouth upon which much of the Arthurian legends were based.

All of these are linked at the very end of this post for extra reading!

KING ARTHUR TRILOGY BOOK REVIEW:

Having watched the old Arthurian movie “Excalibur” from 1981 as a kid and being enthralled with its story, “The King Arthur Trilogy” really preserves the best and most cunning interpretation of the life of the knights of the Round Table. Rosemary Sutcliff’s writing style is all you would hope for in reading a King Arthur story, it preserves the innocence and magic of the age and there is one reason why . . . it’s a young adult’s book.

It’s kind of like reading the original Lord of the Rings trilogy or Harry Potter which is geared towards a younger audience yet still intensely fascinating to us wanderlust adults. The scenes and storylines are presented so effortlessly and eloquently that you simply cannot put this book down once you have started!
