“This Is The Day” by football legend turned baseball player Tim Tebow is a GRAND SLAM! As an already accomplished author, Tebow brings more colloquial eloquence to his readers in his latest offering subtitled “reclaim your dream, ignite your purpose, live your passion.” Those themes run throughout the book and inject you with enough motivation to have you waking up saying: “not one day, but today!”

TIM TEBOW BOOK REVIEW:

“This Is The Day: Reclaim Your Dream. Ignite Your Passion. Live Your Purpose” by Tim Tebow was a thoroughly enjoyable read. If Tim’s aim was to inspire, he sure did it! What I love about Tim Tebow’s writing is that it is so genuine and endearing in a conversational type of way; he writes as if he’s having a one-on-one talk with you about life and his own experiences.

Of course we all know Tim Tebow as one of the greatest college quarterbacks ever. Having played for the Florida Gators and winning the BCS National Championship not once, but twice in 2006 and 2008, Tebow has cemented his place among the football elite. As happens, his then-offensive coordinator Dan Mullen returned to Florida as its head coach from 2018-2021. Tim Tebow is also the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy.

All that aside, Tim Tebow has always made it known that he’s a man of faith, and that message has not changed through the completion of this book. What is nice is that there is just enough religion in this book that it doesn’t sound too “preachy,” and I mean that in a good way. His message of success and God are presented as one and the same, seamlessly balanced as they are in Tim’s real life.

Once you open this book and are into its first pages, you are instantly swept into an engaging plenitude of thoughts and questions posed by the author, with an almost divine acuity. His balance of personal narrative and life lessons are superbly balanced as the pages just seem to roll on by, and that trend of balance is also matched in the book’s length. At only 207 pages, it is just right!

Since its inception in 2014, the SEC Network has been my go-to favourite channel. As an SEC football diehard I watch some show on there just about every day and as a football analyst Tim Tebow is tops! Featured on SEC Nation and other shows like SEC Now, SEC Gameday, and the Paul Finebaum Show, Tim Tebow brings his experience and knowledge of the game to match wits with the best of them – he certainly brings the Tebow passion!

“I want to be a believer in people too. I want to bring out the best in others, from those who are closest to me to those I meet for the first time. I want people’s lives to be better because they know me.”

(Tebow 2018: 81)

Here’s the bottom line, reading “This Is The Day” will make you a better person. You will walk away reading this book with increased enthusiasm and a sharper focus towards your  personal goals and spiritual life. I purposefully did not discuss the finer details of each chapter and chose not to reveal too many specifics about the contents of this book because I feel they must be encountered as the author intended: shepherded through the pastures by Tim Tebow himself.

I’ve also come to the conclusion that I really need to read “Shaken,” published in 2016 which chronicles his sports career with a much narrower focus. As a college football nut, I have to say that I love sports metaphors for life! Tim Tebow uses these in a way like no other; he takes on-the-field challenges and turns them into teachable moments for life and adversity; he parlays them into how to be successful and find your inner strength; he also translates them into how to shut out self-doubt and negative noise. “This Is The Day” … to go out and buy this book!
