Part II. The Universe’s Guide to Achieving Success – Your Emotional Lightning Rod!

In Part I we covered the cumulative power of thought and here, in Part II we will cover how EMOTIONS (FEELINGS) can transform your thoughts into huge blasts of quantum energy! All energy released or expended outward will come back to you, so releasing positive energy will, oh so amazingly, come back to you in abundance, wealth, whatever it is that your emotions harnessed. Your EMOTIONS are highly-charged lightning rods that can unleash anything you desire; your THOUGHTS, channeled through your EMOTIONS is the creative process. That is, the process to create success.

Remember, THOUGHTS drive our FEELINGS, and FEELINGS drive our ACTIONS.

I will use the terms FEELINGS and EMOTIONS, and both, for the purposes of this article, can be used interchangeably.

The Road Metaphor!
If we look at the last graph from Part I of this article, it was summarized by the statement: “success is a balancing act of thinking more positive thoughts than negative thoughts and that our thoughts are cumulative in their effects.” While the statement might sound sexy, a graph surely is not! Well, unless you’re me! LOL

Let’s look at this graph and make it sexy! Well, at least motivating and relevant to your success. The one truth that I have found over the years is that the Universe does have a finite set of laws that are immutable; however, those laws can be expressed in many different ways! How awesome is that?!? The expression of the laws of the universe are accomplished through METAPHOR. The fact that they CAN and SHOULD be expressed in different ways is what makes them UNIVERSAL. Hellooo!!!

So, my Road Metaphor is ONE way of expressing how the application of THOUGHT and EMOTION achieve success. Like everything else on this site, it is one of my own success strategies that I am sharing with you!

Our emotions are like lightning rods that actuate and channel our thoughts into reality. When harnessed purposefully, with intention to manifest, they become the true building blocks of success. Emotions and thought go hand in hand. Emotions have a multiplier effect on our thoughts. Guard your emotions carefully.

One of the necessary ways to prepare you to best utilize your emotions is to clear yourself of them. Yes, that sounds strange and counterintuitive. Also, clear your thoughts. If you are thinking “this sounds a bit like meditation” then you are correct! Meditation is a focusing exercise that clears all of the blocks and barriers in your way. You can’t move forward if you have crap in your way! You can’t accept a present from the Universe if your hands are full of baggage or you are standing behind a wall that you created.

I’m not saying you have to make your life perfect, like your whole life; but, just for now (remember this is NOW-Power), just in this moment. Do it!

Let’s get on the road!
If you look at the dashed line in the graph you should notice how it looks like a mini road, travelling down the graph of time, the graph of your life. In fact, the little circle is a “you are here” sign and you would be travelling to the right. Each thought you commit to and emotion that energizes it either increases or decreases your possibility for success. Think negative and be negative and you attract negative; think positive and be positive and you attract POSITIVE.

Making this graph 3D (ooh yes, I love graphs) makes it look a bit more nifty. It kind of looks like a road now! There you are, right in that circle over there.

Well, guess what? If you haven’t guessed already our THOUGHTS and EMOTIONS create the FLOW of our road. The Universe creates the ROAD, we create the DESTINATION and HOW FAST we get there! In the Law of Attraction we do not get to say HOW we achieve success, only WHAT we want to achieve.

Please remember this! It is a fundamental LAW.

LAW says: In the Law of Attraction we do not get to say HOW we achieve success, only WHAT we want to achieve.

METAPHOR says: The Universe creates the ROAD, we create the DESTINATION and HOW FAST we get there!

You get it? So you need to create a clear road without traffic. Focus on your destination, let the Universe get you there, it will. You would not get in your car to go to the park if you knew the park was not there! There is a basic, subconscious logic to this decision that really must be understood. When we create goals, our vision, or our definition of success, we often employ what I call a fatal proposition which is that we don’t BELIEVE that our success is real!

NOT AMOUNT OF THOUGHT OR EMOTION WILL ACHIEVE ANY GOAL IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE THAT GOAL IS ACHIEVABLE AND REAL!!!

Ok, so KNOW and BELIEVE, that the destination you created (visioned) is real. Know you can get there, feel yourself there! Let me say that again: Know (thought) you can get there, feel (emotion) yourself there! Oh my gosh, you should be jumping up and down right now!

Let’s get in the car!
After you have fully constructed your VISION, focus on it with intense emotions. Focus = thoughts; emotions = your lightning rod. You want your road to be clear, like the picture above.

The neat thing about the Law of Attraction is that what often seems a huge, insurmountable problem with our technique is often, in reality, a very simple fix! For example, how many of us have a mental road that looks like this?

The car that is in front of you, you put there! The bus that is honking at you, you put there! The lanes blocking you, you created! The fact that the car in the other lane won’t let you in, you created! Oh boy!! That bus is your job that you hate, that car is your financial position that you would like to improve, metaphorically speaking.

Again, I’m all about SOLUTIONS here at NOW-Power! Whatever you created, you can un-create! If you don’t like that bus, go around it; if you don’t like that car, change lanes. In fact, just make it all go away! Woohoo! Take that, reality!!! The “simple fix” is to simply make it all go away! Clear out all of those nasty people on the road in your mind by intending it to happen! I said it before and I’ll say it again, your thoughts are YOUR THOUGHTS so take ownership of them. To add to that, your emotions are YOUR EMOTIONS so take ownership of them. Simple fix! Thanks Universe!!!

Now that you are on your clear road, driving joyfully along to your vision, it is time to INFUSE that drive with POSITIVE EMOTIONS! Yes, get happy, get creative, channel positive emotions into thinking about your destination. Think about the end-result, your vision and how grand and beautiful that is. Let it fill you with positive thoughts, thoughts that recharge you and emotions that you cherish. Let the cascade of joy run through you.

Let’s harness the power of now!
All of those emotions that you are channeling are not to be projected into the future, just be at your destination (your vision) NOW. Imagine you just got there! Imagine how it feels to be there, getting out of your car at that beautiful location. Imagine receiving your gift from the Universe right now! They don’t call it the ‘present tense’ for nothing you know. Receive that present from the Universe with gratitude and joy. Infuse each thought of your imagination with powerful, positive EMOTION.

One of my favourite techniques is to combine this emotional state with action. For me, my emotions are often clearest while I’m doing some activity. So while I am out walking or even if I have to role-play (somewhere private lol) I will stand up, jump around, envision that I’ve received a check for $1.1 billion or am in my end-result state and how excited I am that it is all behind me now! When my blood is pumping and heart excited I know I manifest quicker and with much more efficiency and focus. You may want to try this! I do this for a few minutes, do it however long you can sustain a CLEAN focus.

It is an EMOTIONAL LIGHTNING ROD! IT WILL SPARK YOUR SUCCESS!

Remember: the Universe does not distinguish between the present and the future, for all it is concerned, there is no future, only what we think and feel now. What we think and feel now is how we manifest reality, and therefore success.
